The 300 Workout Routine: Train Like A Spartan Warrior

This, now legendary, workout takes its name from the famous Frank Miller inspired movie, “300″, in which 300 Spartans fight to the death against Persian “God-King”, Xerxes, and his army of more than one million soldiers. See workouts below.

To get into true Spartan shape, actors were put through months of rigorous training regimens which finally culminated in this right of passage grueling Spartan workout. See videos below.

Mark Twight, founder of Gym Jones and creator of the the 300 routine, is nothing short of a fitness animal, and his philosophy, “Appearance is a consequence of fitness.”, is something to be seriously considered.

One actor from “300″, Andrew Pleavin, completed the 300 routine in 18 minutes, 11 seconds. The 300 movie workout is definitely not for the faint of heart. Good luck.

Trainer’s Tip: You can modify the 300 movie workout according to your own ability level by using lighter weights or substituting different exercises. (But a real Spartan Warrior wouldn’t do that.)
